instructors at Verve Movement studio
Heather Corey is the first Essentrics® Master trainer in the United States and a certified yoga instructor. Heather draws inspiration from the energy her students create. She has been leading group exercise & yoga classes for over 10 years, blending her passion for movement and music along with her ability to motivate students.
After an Irish dance injury in 2008, she discovered the Essentrics® Technique, which combined her passion for fitness and dance. She is now dedicated to teaching the perfect strengthening and flexibility program that re-balances the body and gives participants a sense of freedom, rejuvenation, power, balance and strength.
Heather specializes in working with athletes and dancers, training them with the ESSENTRICS® technique.
Anne Cookson, Level 3 Essentrics® Instructor
Anne has been an Essentrics® instructor since early 2014. She discovered Essentrics® by taking Heather’s classes and immediately fell in the love with the program, so much so that she decided to pursue Essentrics® certification so that she could share this program with others.
Anne has always had a passion for fitness and for all types of music which lends itself well to teaching Essentrics®. She loves that she is helping people to stay healthy and fit no matter their age and fitness level. She is motivated by her clients who tell her after class how good they feel and how much they enjoyed the variety of the music selections.
Tammy Bergeson, Level 2 Essentrics® Instructor
Tammy discovered Essentrics a year ago while looking for an effective and challenging alternative to high impact classes. After taking Essentrics with Heather she knew she had found her "just right fit". As an Occupational Therapist she recognized the value of Essentrics as a therapeutic, healing way to exercise. As a dance lover she was drawn to the elegant flow and musicality of the workout. She has spent the past year training and learning the theory behind Essentrics, and sharing it with friends and family. She is now a certified Level 1 instructor and is very excited to share this powerful method with others looking for a unique way to get a strong, balanced and mobile body. Tammy is also certified by the American Council on Exercise as an Orthopedic Exercise Specialist.
Kim Zimmer, Cert. Level 2 Essentrics® Instructor
With a background as a Certified Recreation Therapist, Kim believes in the holistic approach to health and healing and understands that people need to enjoy themselves as they work toward their fitness goals. Through her own injuries and helping others, she has always sought to find a safer way to stay fit for the long term. Essentrics filled that void. Though she still enjoys high intensity workouts and weight training, she found the Essentrics technique of re-balancing the body and decompressing the joints to be a great compliment to any sports and fitness program. Kim's passion extends to helping all people experience the joy of movement.
